If you have a Dometic ac unit I believe there is six screws that hold the shroud on. With filter cover removed there should be two screws. Not sure about other brands. Good luck

A little scared to ask this question, are you trying to remove the inside vent shroud to get to the A/C retainer bolts or are you on the roof trying to remove the outside shroud?
If you are on the inside and have found the A/C 4 retainer bolts and are trying to remove the outside shroud then there is a chance that you have loosened the A/C and broken the sealant around the A/C, please tell me this is not the case.
A picture of what you are working would be a great help.Dallas

Grumpy Papa - If I remember correctly, you have a '16 303. Is that correct. If so, you most likely have a Dometic AC unit. I'm attaching a photo that shows how to remove the interior shroud.

Yes you can. Here is a cut and paste from the Dometic AC installation manual:
"Evenly tighten the four mounting bolts to atorque of 40 to 50 inch pounds. This will compressthe roof gasket approximately 1/2". Thebolts are self locking so further tightening isnot necessary."
I even have a photo on record of the bolt locations:

So,I am better to try to tighten the A/C retaining bolts from inside the trailer ,taking off the inside vent shroud or from outside the trailer taking off the outside roof A/C shroud ? I have water leak when it rains in the back corner of the A/C unit and it has been suggested that one of the retaining bolts has vibrated loose.

Yes, the only way you can access the bolts is from the inside.
