Forum members love to debate the topic of GVWR...I'll skip any mention at this point other than to point you to the REFERENCE LIBRARY and the resources in this thread: https://www.mygrandrv.com/fo...ity-Calculator I suspect you'll be able to figure out where you're at once you punch in everything.

What might also help is for planning I used 15% of a bumper-pull trailer's GVWR as my projected hitch weight. (Real world in my 315RLTS has it upwards of 12-14%, but that's because I have the 2nd a/c, washer and dryer, and half my house stuffed into the forward storage compartment!)

    Hope this helps.

Howard, is that 12-14% projected hitch weight with the water already included?.... The 315 RLTS GVWR is 10995, so 13% is a hitch weight of 1429lbs. Is that water already calculated into that?

Reader's Digest answer: Maybe, maybe not. It depends.

War and Peace answer: I'm very close to my 315's GVWR (actual=10,660lbs last weigh) and the only water I carry is a few gallons to flush the potty and wash hands while on the road. I have the second A/C and a washer/dryer so the nose is heavy. In addition, we carry a fair complement of "stuff" with us. There's no way I could carry a full load of water and stay within the trailer's specifications. My hitch weight comes in around 1,300lbs. This is important so that I'm within the 10-15% window of necessary tongue weight to reduce the possibility of sway. Here's a few posts with more info: https://www.mygrandrv.com/fo...(First-Weigh)? and https://www.mygrandrv.com/fo...vs-Power-Jack?
