    Behind the basement wall...

    I took off the basement wall, and here is the wiring I found!

    Well, it really REMINDED me of the wiring behind the walls, at least. Actually it is the programming patch panel from one of the computers used at the White Sands Missile Range that was used into the 70's. Back then programmers really had to know their stuff, because they were physically connecting the various components!

    A quote near this display said, "You had to be a bit crazy to work on the patch panels."

    And I knew the man who oversaw the team running that computer! The wiring and plumbing behind our basement panel wasn't quite that bad...
