Ford F350 Super Duty 6.7 Diesel, Long Bed, Crew Cab, Bed Height for Fifth Wheel Hitch

Again being new to fifth wheels it is so great to have a forum where information can be obtained from such a great group of individuals. Again thank you in advance for any feed back.

I have decided on the above vehicle which is a 2012 F350 SRW Super Duty. Will there be any issues regarding the bed height and the fifth wheel hitch. Will the truck be to high for the 303 when attached or will some type of adjustment need to be made.

I am hoping that the bed height is not an issue.

Again thanking everyone for the feedback and am looking forward to more participation one I understand more about the fifth wheel and truck.

    Thanks so much

I assembled my new B&W Patriot 16K hitch yesterday. It's adjustable 4" up and down, front and back.

I set it 1" in front of the axle, and medium height.

I have a 2013 Ford F250 4x4 LB 6.7L Super Duty with 18in wheels pulling a 2014 Reflection 303RLS. My clearance between top of bed rails and bottom of trailer is 7-8 inches. Trailer sits slightly nose high, but have not really measured it so may be an illusion. B&W companion hitch, puck system for Ford install, hitch is as low as it will go, 16 3/in and as far forward, just forward of rear axle. Here are the specs for my vehicle and a 2013 F350. The 350 is taller. If you have 4x4, your are already almost 3 inches higher bed height than mine. If you have 20in tires, you will have to adjust your pin box most likely.

Specs sheet for my 2013 F250, bed height 4x2=34.1 inches, 4x4=35 inches. F350, 4x2 = 33.8 inches, 4x4=37.8 inches. Big difference on F350, not much on F250. Per Ford sheet the cargo box height is 20in above the bed height. Makes my side rails at 55 inches, your 350 will be at 57.8 inches. BTW, you can adjust your pin box to allow different clearances. Mine is currently set for I believe 49 inches.
