Help. At dealer now. Tire inflation question.
Son my dealer has tried numerous times to tell me that they do not recommend the sailun tires. I’m here picking up the new rig and now they are saying that they don’t wanna air them up to max PSI cause trailer tires are suppose to be soft. I think they are full of crap. Opinions.
Thanks.
Chad.

I’d ask to speak to the service manager immediately. You are dealing with idiots.

What are you trying to put them on?
It could very well be true that they would be too hard at 110PSI.

Grand design 312BHTS. There saying too hard will shake the trailer like crazy.

1. They do not recommend Salium tires. Shows that they don't follow the industry very closely.
2. Do not air them to 110 psi. See #1 .2018 Momentum 376TH

Now that statement I agree with. The G is a 14 ply tire and is very stiff. Your suspension will be working harder with the G tires over the spec'd E tires that are 10 ply.
The 312 is the same basic setup as my 315 (weight-wise) with a GVWR of 10995. As I wrote in another thread (here we go again) I think you should stick with "good" E rated tires, "good" being highly subjective." My "good" is a set of Goodyear Endurances that are sitting in the garage waiting to be installed.2017 Ford F-350 DRW 6.7L Platinum

Simplify your life. Read the spec chart on the RV. If they specify E rated tires - use them. If they recommend G rated tires use them. In either case, inflate to max recommended PSI - you can't go wrong. Keep screwing around with inflation pressures and you will get into trouble - my opinion. Just remember, when you reduce pressure, you increase sidewall flex, increasing temps and pressures.
By the way, if you are running a fiver, the Sailun S637 ST235/85R16 & ST235/80R16 are the best tires I have ever run and they have an excellent reputation. I have run them at 110 PSI for tens of thousands of miles and NEVER had a problem. Find a dealer who knows what they are talking about.
