Return trip was not exactly pleasant. West Texas winds were a royal pain. Winds were 15-25 mph (I hate gusty winds on my motorcycle as well). Made for something of a white-knuckle ride home. Guessing, bigger tow rig is about the only thing that can offset wind. Heck winds were blowing my truck around coming into work this morning without the trailer.

I have felt winds in my truck as well , a little bigger than yours. But you are correct , a bigger truck has more weight to help handle the trailing weight better.
You have done a great job in this set up and keeping all updated.
