    Bed Height 2500 vs 3500

I currently tow my Reflection 303RLS with a 2017 RAM 2500 4X4 6.4 Hemi. Considering upgrading to a new SRW 3500 with the Cummings. I know the 2500 has coils in the rear vs. the springs in the 3500 4X4. Will the bed be higher, causing an adjustment to my hitch height?

Hmm, very similar to what I had except it was a 2016. It had 17 in tires and with the Anderson hitch at its lowest setting it towed fairly level and had about 6-7in of clearance. I was not happy with the towing performance, so I got a 2017 Ram CTD 3500 Mega cab dually. Part of the reason for the dually was it came with 17 in tires and other SRW models did not, and I never wanted to have to trade if we got something bigger. It still tows fairly level, maybe just an inch or less higher in front with the same Anderson. So all that to say, it kinda depends on various factors like tires, model, etc. Best bet would be to compare old/new with the RAM bodybuilder guides.

I just checked my Ram 3500 SRW.

Top of bed rail 57" from ground at the tailgate
Top of bed surface 36.5" from ground at the tailgate

That's with my Blue Ox Super Ride in the bed.

Your tailgate is only an inch higher than your axle?

Yes sorta. I just went out and remeasured. It's 59'1/4" at the tailgate and 58" at the axle.

I just updated my post. All measurements were at the tailgate.
