    Width - Towing

Did anyone notice a big difference when towing the wider rigs. Mostly our concern is over backing into tight campground spots.

My farm girl and I have many (many!) years experience with our current 5th wheel and many trailers - but curious what we might experience with a wider 5er.

    Thanks

I didn't really notice any difference going to a wide body - 101". I was already towing with a dually , which is fairly wide itself. You're only talking 2&1/2 to 3" wider per side.
    Y'all will be fine.

I didn't notice anything different towing our Solitude vs our Reflection but I do notice the difference between our SRW and DRW trucks. The truck definitely "feels" wider.

Have to agree did not "feel" any difference adding the extra 5 inches on the trailer. Noticed a big difference driving solo with the DRW

It drafts more air and seems to work the motor a little harder at higher speeds. I did noticed a difference in mileage at freeway speeds. I'm not really sure if it is because of the extra width or the extra height or a combination of both. As far as maneuvering it around in tight places, you won’t notice any difference because of the width. I found I need to pay more attention to the extra height of the wide bodies than the width.
