Chillybob,
Is the insulation for the fresh water drain valve?
I must admit, after talking to the dealer and GD support I am still SMH as to why they would place this valve outside the insulation(coroplast). What was your method of attaching the foam and making the valve accessable?

Hi
On the top piece of foam I cut out the shape of the valve so it would fit flush against the corplast. I then pushed the second piece up against the valve to mark the four valve bolts to get an impression for drilling the holes. i had to cut a little bit out of the second piece to fit flush up against the first piece. I screwed four nuts onto the bolts sticking out of the valve and left enough thread to push screws up through the holes that I drilled and tighten both pices of foam against the corplast. I think it was number eight nuts and screws that I used around 2 1/4” long screws. It wasn’t too hard to get the screws into the nuts. If you are in extreme cold it might be a good idea to caulk around the edges to get a good seal. The foam would have to be removed to be able to open the fresh water dump valve.Last edited by chillybob; 01-16-2019 at 12:14 AM.
