2017 F350 - RV Navigation
So you've got this really nice truck, with Sync 3 Navigation (which you can't upgrade) and you have a 2019 337 RLS with a minimum bridge clearance of 13' (and that's thin).
And I'm sure this happened (not me but it did get me thinking). You leave home on a trip with your two air conditioners, Winegard 4g/LTE Antenna, and your Winegard traveler. And you get to your destination and they are no longer on the roof.
We spend a lot of time "just driving" and not thinking too hard about bridge clearances when the rig isn't behind you. And honestly I caught my self the other day driving under a low one (no rig) and realized I probably would have cleaned my trailers roof off.
So I did some research and found some software from Trimble called Co-Pilot, which has several navigation modes. The software runs on Android or Apple (which means it can run on your phones or tablets (I prefer Apple). and the software will ask you your rig length (for turn calculations) and your rig height (to calculate clean routes with no low over passes in your route.
But its kind of a hassle looking at your phone whilst driving. So I Found a dash kit from a company called Retro Customs, purchased an Apple Mini 4 and now I have a nice looking install in the truck, with still all my dash capabilities, and the comfort of having some automation tell me when obstacles are approaching, and which routes to avoid.

The iPad mini I bought, has Wifi & Cellular. The models that are cellular have GPS built in, Wifi Only does not. But I have in the past used a GPS receiver from Dual Electronics with an iPad.
The software only needs GPS Data to continue functioning.2017 F350 Lariat

Garmin offers at least two RV/Trucker GPS models that promise to do the same thing - avoid low obstacles (and restricted-weight roads) when calculating routes. Not as versatile as @mestubbe's iPad which can be used for many other things, but for some it might be the right choice.
