Propane tank chatter!!
Hey all, I’ve talked to a few people and need more advice. My propane tanks like to vibrate/chatter/humm...whatever you want to call it. (Sometimes seems like it is pulsing) If I switch the tanks, it goes away for a bit, but then starts on that side. I have replaced the red high pressure regulator on the pass side. Now I’m wondering if it’s the big 2 stage regulator screwing up on the drivers side. Anybody else had this problem. And yes, both tanks are full. Thanks!!

Pigtails or regulator would be my guess.

Yes we did experience this once , try to remember where it might while we were at Quartzsite. To me it seem like is was pulsing . I switch it over to other tank an it went away, it was about 3/4 the way empty. Haven’t heard it since.

I would suspect the automatic switchover to be the culprit for my first guess. My thought is to try switching it back and forth between tanks a few times and see what happens.

Our regulator humms whenever a propane appliance is being used. Always has.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I’m gonna replace the regulator and see if that fixes it. If not it has to be the hoses. The only other thing I could think of was that I have 40# tanks, and maybe when the get low they struggle. I’ve never run them dry though.
