    F-350 Dually hub caps

I thought I would share my fix for loosing dually hub caps on the rough roads of CA. After loosing 3 caps I was going to just quit using them but I don't like how the wheels look without the caps so I came up with a way to secure them better.

I started with two pieces of aluminum strap 3/4x1/16. Bent to 3" legs 5" span.

Drilled two holes in each hub cap w/ counter sink.

Put alum brackets on hubs with 5-7" hose clamp. (aligned carefully)

Put hub cap on and marked holes through hub onto bracket.

Drilled and tapped holes to accept screws.

Reinstalled bracket and tightened hose clamp. Installed hub cap and screws. Hopefully good to go!

Dang--three, you lost 3 hubcaps? Cali roads must be worse than I remember.

Thanks for the pics and sharing the mod.

I've driven all three of those roads but have never lost a hub cap. Guess I'm just lucky!

Originally from Sacramento so I've drove up and down I-5 and 99 many times and never lost a center cap on any of my Super Dutys......lost one in Ariz. and one in Nev.
