I had a friend tell me his owner's manual said to jump the battery from the passenger side. I checked my manual for a 2017 F350 and did NOT see that same language. I am assuming that either my friend was mistaken, or Ford modified that (or I am missing it in my manual). I would say you could use either; choose which is more convenient for access.
I have also been told to change both batteries at the same time; that a weaker battery will drain a stronger one ... but that is a topic for another thread.2017 Ford F350 Platinum 6.7L PowerStroke DRW

I bought the one on the left. I use it for airing up the trailer tires and bike tires. Works great and fits in the storage compartment. I just go to Discount Tire for my truck tires or when it's being serviced I have them check the tires.
