ID:	17509 Bought these to hang in the closet and bathroom to take the moisture out of the trailer. Put the small tub type in the fridge and washer/dryer. This is how much water it absorbed in about a week! That's about and inch and a half of water in the bag! I'll be keeping these in year round with the Texas humidity. Anyone else use them? Dangit I haven't figure out picture rotation in Windows 10 yet lol

We do use those, been using Damp Rid since the Aliner days. Be careful with over flow or spilling the tubs. They leave a weird filmy mess that is hard to clean up.
I reccomend to put a top on them during travel to help prevent spilling.

Good advice, thank you. I will probably just take them out of the washer when traveling and take down the hanging ones. They are pretty reasonably priced at Home Depot where I get them.

How long do they last and how long do they take to fill (on avg, I know it's about humidity)? Our camper is likely to sit in FL for a couple months at a time.

What is this humidity you speak of? Not a problem in AZ.

Yup got them in the closets, cabinets, bathroom and kitchen, tub style. If there is desiccant left in them we just pour out the water and store while traveling.

Yes! DampRid products work amazing for RVs. One word of caution, coming from experience: If the Hanging Bag freezes with water in it, upon thawing there could be a leak. Mine did in the bedside closets during cold storage and the bag leaked all over my nice shirts. They end up taking form of hardening in the form they were hanging. Dry cleaning restored them, but there was the expense and hassle. This obviously won't happen in a home, but in RV world, just heads up.

Also, another head's up along that same line - we use the Damp Rid that's in buckets. We find it's plenty for our little 5r, just using one in the kitchen sink. BUT, be aware if it cracks (or you spill it) and the "liquid" or granules get in your sink (stainless steel) it can corrode it.

In FL-Life the humidity becomes a functional part of you.

When I was in Tahoe for a wedding last October (they fancy, I know) I had nose bleeds at least once a day and headaches because my sinuses are not accustomed to the dry air.

Here in central Texas you get a mixture of all of it, sometimes dry then humid, then tree pollen and mold. The North & east side of my house has to be washed even now, green mold on the siding. My sinuses never seem to keep up.

The dampRid works good in the RV. We have to remember to keep some of the cabinet doors open to keep them aired out or put the small DampRid containers inside the cabinets if the doors have to be closed because of the slides. The wife uses old metal cookie sheets to set the DampRid containers on in critical areas. I think she uses at least 3 different sizes of the containers for the different areas.
