    Furrion Oven and TV

Every time we light the gas oven the nearby TV goes off. Not sure if I can see a connection. Oven is 12V and TV is 120VAC.

    Anyone else experience this issue?

Here's someone who had the TV mute when they lit their oven:

I can only think of two ways to try and isolate the issue.

I know these sound totally dumb, but my assumption going in is that you can repeat the problem and it wasn't just a coincidence. Therefore something is causing the TV to turn off related to the oven. Given that it's a fact--and there's no obvious connection--what can be done to try and isolate the problem?

So is the TV turning off because the remote sensor on the TV is reacting when the oven lights or is something happening to the power input to the TV?

Two possibilities that are a stretch, but doesn't hurt to try:

    1) Try blocking the remote sensor on the bottom front of the TV. Just aiming the TV towards the back of the coach should do it. Turn on the TV and light the oven. Any change?

    2) The TV is likely plugged into the refrigerator c/b circuit. String a temporary extension cord to a GFCI outlet on the island and plug the TV in to the extension cord. Turn on the TV and oven. What happens?

On our 2018 Solitude, turning on the bathroom fan wipes out the TV. Haven’t figured it out yet. “Grand Design” indeed.

    Good luck.
