    EMS-HW50C vs EMS-LCHW50

Getting ready to purchase a new Progressive Industries EMS and my question is, what is the difference between the EMS-HW50C and the EMS-LCHW50? Both come with a Remote Digital Display. Any help is appreciated . . . . .

    EMS-HW50C - $322.85

The LCHW-50 has the digital display on the unit, it's not a remote display.

This is from the Progressive Industries site. If Amazon is shipping it with the additional remote display, I say go for it.

It’s confusing. The HW comes with one remote display and there’s an optional 2nd remote display

The LCWW comes only with a single built in display with no option for remote display.

Here’s the official comparison page https://www.progressiveindustries.ne...ed-comparisons

I'm going through the same evaluation with these two units. The price just jumped to $342 for the EMS-HW50C...makes it pretty hard to justify. So if I go with the EMS-LCHW50 with no remote display, how much of a pain is it to see the display? I have a 2018 303 and assume the unit will be installed near the converter somewhere? Thanks for this thread!

I would definitely recommend the more expensive unit that has the remote display. You want to be able to easily see the display when you first plug into shore power to make sure everything is good there, read any error code should something go wrong and I frequently look at it in the summertime when running two air-conditioners if the wife wants to turn on the microwave or some other high watt appliance to make sure that we aren’t going to pull too many amps . It would be a challenge to find a location to mount the built in display model where this could be done easily

I am looking at them also. Tweetys looks to have the best price at $309.80 shipped.
