New to pulling a TT
Trying to decide between an Equal-I-zer sway control hitch and the Eaz-Lift Elite with 800 pound bars and 2 friction sway controls. Getting conflicting information from two different sources. Just purchased GMC Canyon and Grand Design Imagine 2600RB. Would like to get feedback from anyone using either hitch

Welcome to the forum. And to muddy the water even more, many of us are using the Blue Ox Sway Pro hitch. Before you make the purchase, let's see if anyone weighs in on the hitch weight of a fully loaded 2600RB. Since the published hitch weight (unloaded) is 594#, you might be close with the 800# set up.

Recommend Equalizer with 1,000 bars and 10,000 capacity. I've had that system for five years. Purchased the 2600RB two weeks ago and it pulls great with this setup. The RV shop manager told me that he also uses the same WDH. You may want to check both hitch systems on YouTube. Welcome and congratulations!

I would recommend the Equal-i-zer with 1000# bars. Not sure if your going to be happy with the Canyon as a TV.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new 2600RB. We love ours!
As far as hitches - I don’t know what my brand is but my sticker says 14,000 lb hitch and 1400 lb tongue weight with #800 WD bars. It tows really well with my 1500 Suburban, but I’m thinking about switching to #1000 WD bars. I’m still a newbie at all of this and don’t really know what I need. I trust the set up is safe.

I am new to the forum but have pulled our 2600rb for a year with a Sierra 1500 6.2. The first trip out I felt it.
From the first trip on could barely tell it was back there. I have only had the Equal-I+zer. It waorked great. Just noisy when making a turn if it is adjusted correctly. My knowledge is that it supposed too. I have the 10000 lb model..

When we had a TT we had the Equalizer 10000/1000 setup and it worked well. Seems like a lot of camper for a mid size truck.
