I primarily listen to Country, too, and find myself more and more hitting the "Off" switch as the music continues to migrate to "Pop" Country. But then every once in awhile a Chris Stapelton song comes on, or something from Allison Krauss & Union Station, or a complete surprise like "Burning House" by CAM. So I keep listening.

On a six hour drive we usually leave the radio off & talk for about 4 hours...till we are yattered out. Then DW thinks there is only two types of music, Country & Western. She doesn't like the Leon Redbone I'll occasionally listen to, or Stairway to Heaven to wake me up.

Favorite music by far is 80s and 90s Country. If I'm listening to the radio, I will change it if they play 'Bro Country'. Can't stand today's country except for Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson.

Led Zepplin, I heard enough of them in the 70's, 80's to last me. I liked them back then, but now I switch stations when one of their songs come on.

My music tastes are extremely wide, I like everything from Johnny Cash to John Lee Hooker to John Coltrane to John Lennon, everything from Sarah Vaughn to Stevie Ray Vaughn to Stevie Nicks.....well you get the picture but take Barry Manilow and I'd rather listen to the engine hum. Same goes for most rap. And Kenny Rogers or Kenny G...But you guys are killin me with Neil Young, he's my hero! It' not always about carrying a tune!
Speaking of Jimmy Buffet I always remember a guitar book I saw once at the music store that said "Play any Jimmy Buffet song with these three chords"
Another one: We were headed out onto the Sea of Cortez on a charter fishing boat and the captain mentioned during his announcements "We got every kind of music there is long as you like Jimmy Buffet"Last edited by bigb56; 02-28-2019 at 06:37 PM.
