    Pullrite Superglide,
Hitch open. I have a universal 5th wheel hitch cover which I keep over the hitch when not actively camping.

Same here and it's always under my Retrax cover when not towing. I do however always put white lithium grease on it in the areas you're supposed to after each use. That way I don't forget and its ready to go next pull.

I think it Depends one the hitch you have. My old one you had to leave it open, my new B&W I don't think it madders which way it is. I know that some do have spring that you should keep them closed, and some close by there selves.

We leave it closed, and we have a bed cover for the truck when not pulling.

I always close the jaws on my Blue Ox fifth wheel hitch and lock them closed. That lock and the other four locks make it unappealing to thieves.

After 20 years of 5ver pulling I have done both. At home I sometimes will close the jaws and if home for a few months pull the hitch out. Last month installed a Pace Edwards jack rabbit roll up tonneau cover so may leave in in the truck more often
