X Chocks/Slides
Is it preferred to put the X Chocks in before opening slides and closing slides then removing the X Chocks?
Does it matter?

X-Chocks are the first thing I put on after leveling and the last thing to come off before towing

On both my tow-ables, a fifth and now a trailer, it was far easier to put the x-chocks on before opening slides! It doesn't matter at all, though which way you do it.
NOTE: X-Chocks are braces to help reduce "wiggle" in the unit, they are NOT true chocks to prevent the unit from rolling! They can, and commonly do, loosen up as tire temperature (and therefore pressure) drops after setting up. See the instructions packed with them. Alway use regular chocks too!
Disconcerting enough to find them loose and/or falling out the next day. Worse is to have your camper roll when you thought it was solidly in place. Been there, done both!2017 Imagine 2670MK

We only use the x-chocks. I know they don't recommend it, but they have been rock solid. Wife has already tried to pull the trailer off the leveling blocks before I removed the x-chocks, and they don't allow the tires to move at all. I could easily pull the trailer over regular chocks. Now if I was on any type if incline, I would use both types of chocks.
