I find this very interesting .. the research I did while trying to get my dometic RM2662 below 42 degrees suggest that disconnecting the Thermiester / thermocouple would make the fridge go to full on cold! And therefore a good way to determine if the problem was with the cooling unit or the control circuit...

Upon further review.. It would seem the dealer confused the term thermocouple with thermofuse Two different animals.... The thermofuse is in the burner section and if it trips the cooling unit should be replaced... the thermocouple is the probe that sticks in the gas flame, and the thermister is inside the fridge attached to the cooling fins... at least that's how I understand it....
