Yep - that be the one I bought. A couple after thoughts......
Not sure anyone caught that I modified (slightly) the junction box wiring by re-terminating their wiring using new crimp terminals and adding heat shrink & Ox Gard for some weather/corrosion protection since the wires are stranded copper. Was that necessary? Probably not. But since I was using this same terminating technique/process for the trailer side wires, I just thought WTH and did it. This falls into the anal retentive column.
When I tested the re-do, I honestly felt like the plug on the new cable seated into the 7-pin socket on the truck more securely and was the proper length for the socket cover's "hook" provision that maintains the plug into the socket. I hope that makes sense.
Oh.....and thanks for all the kind words/likes/etc. And FWIW......this forum ROUTINELY adds to that list in front of me that reads, "Master RV Project & Accessories List". I strike off two - then another gets added.

Hi Rob...
It appears the new cable comes pre-wired to the junction box ?
IDK, if its just illustrated that way ?
For.+ $20, saves a lot of crimping [emoji16]
Also, are you doing the ground buss bar like Tucson Jim, didn't see any posts for that part ??
Are GD trailer wires color-coded correctly to match ????
Sorry, for so many questions.
12 V electrical work is not my forte' ,
as you can see...UGH !!!
Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
First of all, I have not installed my new cord & box, but the cable comes assembled to the box. Note that Tom @GENESIS re-did these connections with better terminals.
But . . . now you've got me thinking . . . there are several connections in the original box that are not one-to-one and yet in Tom's pictures the new connections all work out to one-to-one. Tom, where are the other wires spliced in .

OK, OK, OK.........so I left out some trickery - so shoot me.
If you go back to my pics, in the second photo, look at the wire loom. You see that bulge? That is the result of me terminating wires of different colors into ONE wire of the correct color for what that wire is used for per the 7-pin schema. For example, all the White wires from the trailer side were terminated with a bigazz wire nut. So I re-terminated them into a single White wire. There was a White with Black stripe wire (again, trailer side) that was terminated to a Black wire via wire nut. This I just re-did with a butt splice. I'm sorry I didn't take more pics.
Hold on......gonna run to the garage. I don't think I threw away those plastic snap together connectors you see in the first photo. OK, I'm back. Here's an example.
I hope that clears things up.

Well....Genesis
clearing things up, might be a stretch for me. Lol
..but, why didnt you just make a ground buss bar like Tucson ?? Is that overkill?
Seems like a lot of white grounds might benefit from such a thing.
When I do this Id like to do it most
effective and easiest way possible.
Glad Rob picked up on this,
OTW I'd be really lost !!! [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]
Thanks for your input,
Michael
And Awaaaaay we go, as Gleason would say !!!
Unfortunately, when it comes to RV electrical, I'm more like Norton !!! [emoji848]

Hi Rob,
Happy to meet someone who thinks like I do...
EASY DOES IT !!
I wonder why Genisis didn't do this instead of splicing them together onto the one wire per post ??
Am I missing something ??
Thx,
Michael

I was at the Las Vegas rally and then on the road today. So I didn't even know I was being chastised for posting "wire modification porn". But here's a recap:

Hi Jim,
Hope you enjoyed the Rally.
It appears your installation is on your new TT chassis ?? Correct ? Lots of room.
I'm confused as to where I can fit ground bar and power distribution, along with wiring box inside the hitch cavity ??
Guess I'll have to go look at it and plan the layout
THANKS ... (Biting my lip) LO
Michael
BTW ...anyone know WHY my phone keeps double spacing lines on Tapatalk ??
Driving me crazy...

Personally, I think there's no real right or wrong way to do this - well, within reason. I'm sure some EE will scold me for saying this, however, we're not talking about moving around 1000's of electrons and high amperage. If you do a look up, you'll see the recommended wire gage for each of the pins in a 7-pin conductor. So to simplify things, I went with the recommended gage size. - i.e. the Blue brake wire is recommended 12AWG. I can assure you that each of those three wires in that 3M mashed together connector was NOT 12AWG. So I stripped them back, twisted all three together, inserted them into a yellow (10 to 12 AWG) butt splice, and crimped. On the other side of the butt splice I crimped a single 12AWG Blue wire and that went to the Blue wire post.
Again.....we're talking about moving around anywhere from 12VDC to 14VDC and less than ??maybe?? 25amps. That being the case 12AWG and 14AWG is sufficient. But hey - I could be wrong. I'm no electrical expert either. But I do know my sh....uh....stuff when it comes to Moonshine. LOL
