Momentum 394/395 Owner's...Anyone add a Cargo Slide?
We have a new 394M and I just purchased a Cargo Slide to install in the cargo bay. My question is; is there anything directly under the floor of the cargo bay that I need to be cautious of when drilling the floor to install/anchor the slide.....tanks, electrical, hydraulic lines, drains, etc.? Every floor plan is different, so I'm looking for 394/395 owners specifically that have added a Cargo Slide....thanks

Looking at the floor plan of the 394, the bathroom is the same distance from the front as on my 399. I have a black and 2 gray tanks under my cargo bay. It might be worthwhile to drop the coroplast a little bit to take a peak if no one with your specific floor plan chimes in. The alternative is to use shorter screws. I believe the flooring is 5/8 OSB; not sure what type of hardware is needed to secure the sliding tray.

FT4 now...thanks for the input and as always in an unknown...check first. I was going to use these.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. They are 1" long and when they are in the floor, they are flush. They make a shorter version also, but I would prefer the one inch since I would be using a 1/4-20 machine bolt in them. The advantage there is if the slider would ever need to be taken out for access to something behind the walls of the compartment, it could easily be put back in without fear of wallowing out or stripping the "threads" in the wooden floor.

Those inserts look like a good choice, almost like a helicoil for wood. As long as the depth works out, it seems like a good solution.

I never thought about it in those terms, but yes, like a helicoil for wood. I used them a few months ago then I put a TV mount on the wall in my previous Toy Hauler and they are awesome if you have a a thick enough surface for using them.

Not sure how those inserts will work in OSB. It may be better to bolt thru with a body washer on the bottom side. I know you do not want to drop the coroplast but it will be fun.

Brian....the words "Coroplast" and fun should NEVER be used in the same sentence. It's not bad grammar, it's bad/evil thoughts!

When installing them you drill a hole the size of the body of the insert....not counting the thread, basically just like a wood screw.
