Congratulations! I really like your truck too. For some reason those grills and hood scoops appeal to me I'm planning on getting the same model so I will be following any mods, improvements, corrections, etc.

Kevin - the only thing I have done so far is add the Roll’N Lock bed cover. Worth every penny.

It isn’t completely waterproof, but I prefer it over the soft roll up or BacFlip covers. Adjustable stops to protect morenof the kayak and some of the bed even when towing.

Dan - These were good times even if they only lasted a few years. Once our son got old enough it was clear he was a very talented baseball player - the car was sold. Then I just had a couple vettes for cruising and a few track days, but no more racing.

@BudMan - very nice....thanks for a little history and pictures. Noted 1st and 2nd place finishes out of many cars.....pretty good car and driver/crew ! Paul @Poppy's 5th Wheel used to race his Corvette and shared some pictures a couple years ago. Think there are some other forum members who have similar stories. I raced snowmobiles for several years in high school and college and motocross for a couple years. Like you sold the racing and other toys for starting a family and their sporting interests over the years.

Here's a couple of mine, First was my 500 rwhp, full cage, 1996 TransAm. It started out as a drag car because I lived 5 minutes from a drag strip. When that closed I reconfigured it for a track car. This photo is from Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, CA.





This was my 2007 Corvette 410 rwhp, coilovers at Spring Mountain in Parump, Nevada.





Retirement put an end to all that fun.

Oh my - the burnt orange Vette (Sunset not Daytona right?)! Love the plate too. I considered that color, as Austin has been my 2nd favorite city next to KC. UT is a cool school & at the time, I never knew I would live in Texas. That said, my Jayhawk (LeMans Blue) won out.

Long live painter's tape - it's the tool of champions! We used to write obnoxious things backward for the cars in front to read as we would catch them at track days. Car guys rule - hahaha.
