Could use a 50A ATS like klenger did, that would feed L1 or L2 of the CB Panel.
Yes a fuse for Inverter. The MRBF type you have on the battery would probably work as it has a high AIC of 10,000A for 12V. 250A or 300A.

Both +12V battery cables need to be on the same side of the MRBF fuse, the battery terminal side.
