In our younger days, my wife and I often discussed getting a custom made box to hold all our camping gear, for easy getaways. Finally have it...although it is MUCH larger than we originally thought about!

Great choice! We just scored a new-used 2018 GD Imagine 2670mk and absolutely love it! We are going with the Propride hitch - highly recommended if you can foot the bill. We are pulling with a 2019 Ram 1500 Hemi w/eTorque, 3.92 axle and towing package.

I have been busy ordering all the upgrades for it, my wife takes pictures of the stacks of Amazon boxes every day they show up.

Congratulations on the Imagine. We think you will enjoy it. We came from a popup to ours. We have enjoyed it. And Welcome to the forum. A lot of these folks here can answer most any questions that come up so do not be afraid to ask. Now, go forth and make memories.

Brian, My wife and I have a deposit on a 2020 2670MK. I also own a 2019 " NEW" Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi, 4x4 off road and towing package. It has a 3.92 rear, 5.7 box. How does it handle? After reading on here, I am second guessing myself. On paper, it looks good.
My door sticker says max payload of 1611. I also have the air suspension system. Again, curious to see if you have any issues?

Welcome, hope the new rig is responsible for a ton of memories.

Be interesting to see what you think about the 2670MK and a Silverado even with a max tow. That is a lot of trailer. Depends n where you are of course. Regardless happy camping.

You can check out my previous posts, 2017 Ram Rebel 4x4 with air suspension, lower cargo weight than yours, so glad I went with the 2670MK as we LOVE the layout, tows great with the right weight distribution hitch, in our case an EQUAL-I-ZER very important as this trailer will sway more than others based on my research. One word of CAUTION - read your manual on the air suspension system, you need to disable it when hooking up or unhooking or you may cause damage. There is a setting called "jacking" you must remember to do this.

On the downside I have had plenty of quality issues less than a year old:

Hot water heater - bad circuit board
Slide system on kitchen side binding, has to be replaced.
    Cracked drawer faces.
AC not working on low speed
    Heater had loose wire
Recall inspection on the axle, had to be inspected
    Front door jam issue
Wall flexing and at times can not close the bedroom door - this one is a concern - structural
Loose metal trim on the outside
