weather strip

Hi All

Anyone here replaced the weather strip on top of the dinette slide out of a 303RLS? I noticed ours was hanging down about 3 ft last week when returning home from a trip. We were stopped to refuel at the time so I pulled it off to avoid further damage.

I just so happened to have an appt today for some other work and the dealer said it was $60 to put it back on. I said no thanks, and they said "are you sure, it can be tricky". I'm just wondering how hard it can be and if I should say yes while its still at the dealer. Im not really sure where it goes yet because I never looked on top of the slide when I pulled it off.

I had the same issue on this trip to Florida. Notice about 3' hanging out the front at a gas stop. Pulled out the slideout and slide it back in. Next stop same thing. Noticed that the fixing screw had ripped the weather stripping. Got up on the roof and re-fastened the weather stripping with the screw in a different place. Screw tends to tear the weather stripping but very easy to slide back and fix it or replace it.

There is a track that it slides into. I wouldn't pay $60 to put it back on if you are the least bit handy. Slide it back into the track and fasten with screws at both ends.

Its still at the dealer, and while I am no good with electricity or plumbing, I am def handy enough for weather stripping from what you said Again, thanks
