rear observation camera
Hello, I have a Garmin 760 rv gps with a rear observation camera. We recently purchased a 303rls Reflection 5th wheel. It has the rear camera prep. Question is does anyone have ideas whether & how I can wire my Garmin camera in the Furrion prep mount that is on my 5th wheel?

I would think you need to take off the furrion cover to determine if the mounting bracket and hardware holes will match the Garmin and if the plug is the same. In our 303 the plug and play was wired to an interior hot wire. The big cover you see over the rear camera prep is only a plastic cover, the actual brackets will install upon cover removal. If the brackets line up I think you would be good to go. If not, you could remove the furrion bracket/hardware and install the garmin hardware. Just silicone the new screws and backing bracket to prevent moisture intrusion.

It isn't compatible with the Furrion mount. I mounted my receiver in the front of the basement storage then ran a Garmin extension cable along the frame to the rear of the 5th wheel. I mounted the camera on the rear license plate bracket. The Garmin camera will only transmit up to 45 feet.

You're welcome Jerry. When we upgraded to our present trailer I decided to go with the Furrion Observation camera. It's a much simpler installation and works well. I purchased it on Amazon.
