Near the end of my list

We’ll be picking up our (new to us) 2017 350M at the end of April. I have been collecting things I think we will “need/want for our trip home to Michigan from Florida. Some items will come with the unit and we can buy daily supplies and essentials along the way.
We will be taking a week to get home after spending three days in Florida to get set up.
Here’s the list. No particular order.
Changing the pin box to a Reese goose box, all essential hardware
TPMS for RV (truck has its own)
    Snap pads
    Portable air compressor
    Surge protector
    Back up camera
    New grill/griddle
    Water pressure reg./filter
    Tire step for truck
Power cords, wheel chocks, poop hoses come with unit.
Might buy new fresh water hoses just because and coax cable for tv
All tools and emergency gear already in inventory.
    Two way radios, check.

Congrats. My wife and I drove from Texas to NJ to get our new 351M home just a few weeks ago. 1800 miles one way.
Even though our rig has a spare, I bought a 2nd full size spare tire with rim. It may seem like overkill but it’s always better to be looking at it then looking for it. Luckily we didn’t have any issues but I will always travel with the two spares.

I’m not sure if you plan on staying in your new rig on the trip back, it make sure you have paper goods, plastic wear (or silver wear).

I can’t think of much more.

    Safe travels!

Jeff, how did the Ram do hauling the new rig ?. I bought a new Ram 3500 DRW for the duty. I’m coming from a duramax 2500, never owned a 5er before , just pulled a 32’ boat with the Chevy.

My Ram 3500 pulled the rig with ease. For my trip to get our rig, I made sure I had extra fuel filters and I always kept a few gallons of DEF fluid. While towing, I kept the speed around 55-60mph and I was consistently seeing 10-12mpg. I was able to get up to speed upon entering the highways with ease and I like the Rams interior for comfort.

I spent a good amount of time researching for my tow vehicle and I used experiences I have learned with my company. For work, we tow very heavy car hauler style trailers that we converted from gooseneck to 5th wheel set ups. Over time, we realized the Rams seem to tow with most ease and least issues over the road. My company trucks rack up the miles (150k-200k/year).

My Ram tow vehicle is equipped with air bags, long bed & B&W companion hitch. This set up for me seems to work the best. My favorite feature of my TV is the exhaust break.

I hope my response helps you!

Congrats. Being a 2017, you should check the brakes for leaking grease seals/greased brake pads.

A definite yes on the new fresh water hose. You don't know what went though the old one.. Full agreement on the spare spare tire. My last camper had the little 13's and I could never get halfway across New Mexico without at least one blow out. I started carrying two spares and one tire in addition. Of course I also vowed to never buy another camper with 13s. I would also add to bring plenty of patience. Take your time. Stop often. Check brakes (for heat) and tires each time. Expect bad weather. Pray for good. Sounds like you have well prepared though. Have a good trip.

Just in case they don't include it, a lube plate is worth having. Cheap, easy to store and never hurts to have a spare.

Congrats, if this is your first RV you may want to add a little patience, ( I think I just heard a song). Lots of emotions will get you going, take your time and double check everything and the rest will fall into place.

If for some reason you come up thru PA. and need something drop me a line.
