    After reading this I figured this out. I only lock it while at the site and unlock while on the road. I used a 5/16" bit and drilled a hole in the big wing nut and the piece holding the valve. I have a combination lock on order.

    A friend of ours had both tanks stolen and gas lines cut! And it was in a locked in storage are. We are going to put storage locks on our propane doors. Leave them unlocked while traveling than lock them when we are stopped over night and at our campsite and in storage!
