Reflection 295RL suspension modification suggestions?
We have a 2019 Reflection 150 series 295RL. We have towed it from Ohio to Arizona and back. The truck/trailer combo handles very well. However, we went over some pretty bad roads with severe bumps that I would like to smooth out a little before our next adventure. I have read several threads on here about others experience with suspension mods and see that RoadMaster and MorRyde (and maybe others) make suspension upgrade products. Has anyone modified the suspension on a 295RL or similar unit? Suggestions? Ideas? Thanks......

GWK. There are lots of combinations of suspensions delivered by GDRV. For a starting point, can you post a picture of your current configuration? It would be helpful if we know your current equalizer, axle size, Axle spacing as measured from the center of one hub to the center of the adjoining hub, and whether or not you have wet bolts.

An upgrade to the MR 3000 http://www.morryde.com/products/90-c...2F4-suspension and the shackle kit would be a big help.
I don't think you can upggrade your pin box to a MR since the bolt holes in your frame won't line up with a MR.

I'll get a picture the next time I'm out where we store the camper. I do know that I have Dexter 120100 - 5100lb axles. Probably no wet bolts. I'll look.

GWK - When I purchased my Reflection travel trailer, it has plastic bushings, a straight metal equalizer and straight bolts. I purchased the MORryde CRE3000 equalizers, Wet bolt and bronze bushing kit and thicker shackles. It took me about six hours to do the complete install. Here's a photo:

The 295has a low CCC. The yellow stickers I've seen are around 1320-1440 lbs. Which is on the low side. If you're loading like most and have put a 1,000 lbs in the 295 then you're almost maxed out on the springs.1400-1,000=400. Divide by 4=100 lbs left for each spring. If the springs are compressed to almost max then there may not be enough arc left to flex properly. That would make a stiff ride.
Have you weighed the 295?
