Changing from a 2" Fastway e2 Hitch Shank to a 2.5" - Any Options?
This problem started when I became a member of the Two Timers Club. I've replaced a F150 with a F250 and therefore the receiver size on the tow vehicle has gone from 2" to 2.5". When I purchased our Imagine 3170 I also bought a Fastway e2 Trunnion style hitch (1,200/12,000 lbs). From all the information that I can find there is no 2.5" shank option from Fastway. Since the hitch is new and only been used a few times I'd like to replace the hitch shank if possible. Anyone know of any 2.5" shank options since none seem to be available via Fastway? Is there another brand that would be compatible? Appreciate any insight.

Unless you need to add additional weight carrying ability, just get the adaptor for the hitch receiver to bring it back to two inch.

I’ve read comments the use of adapter sleeves introduces quite a bit of play or movement into the receiver. Likely not ideal when trying to limit sway. That was the reason behind me trying finding a 2.5” shank. Benefits maybe not worth the hassle?

Just a quick look on eTrailer dot com and I found this, don't see why it wouldn't work. Might look around on their site for one.
