FWIW there is article discussing the way the newer fords 2017 and up don’t apply power to the 7 way on the bumper if your driver door is open. So keep that in mind during any testing

One more question (can't promise it will be the last.) The battery charger I've ordered can charge multiple batteries simutaneously. I have 2 batteries connected parallel. If I connect to one, both would charge, correct? If I connect to both at the same time (Y-splitter) is there an advantage to that setup?

You may want to check the book for the charger. If it is able to run both charger circuits tied together, you might have more charge capacity. I have a dual charger on our boat, and it will work if the battery switch is set to A+B, though I never use the batteries that way. I prefer to know I have a spare battery that will get me home. Different situation, but same charger configuration. Either way, no Y splitter is necessary. You will either use one charger circuit connected to your battery bank, or both.

What battery charger did you get? I’m looking for one that will charge both my batteries at the same time. Thanks!

The slides work off the 12V side whether or not you are plugged in.
If I have power, I use it when working my slides. If not, no big deal if your batteries are good. If not...not so much.
I would absolutely use your generator to power the rig and let the converter charge the batteries. It might be a little bit slower but it will not allow an overcharge and you can use the lights to do other things while it's running and charging.Jeff and Jen

That sucks, especially at this time of year. Hope you make a speedy recovery and get to camping!
