We've had the 3500 Watt Dual Fuel Champion for a couple of years now. We LOVE it !! We run 100% on Propane and will NEVER use Gas in it. The Champion will run one Air Conditioner along with the lights and the TV. When we bought our new 310 GK, we went down to the storage yard and opened up the slides and watched TV and ran the air all day, just for fun.

I really like the fact that I don't have to worry about storing fuel just for the Generator (also Gas gets heavy when it is inside the generator). I would recommend the 3500 watt Champion to any one looking for a generator.

I wound up with the Firman 3200w inverter from Costco for only $480 on sale/delivered. A bargain!

That’s why we chose the dual fuel. We just want to use propane. And it had great reviews.
    Thanks Dave and peggy

My father in law just bought the Firman dual fuel from Costco. He had it shipped to me since he is in Canada. It is a bit cheaper than the Champion, but has less power. I hooked it up to propane and it was able to run my air conditioner. It ran the Coleman 15k with no issue, but it did struggle a bit on the Dometic. I am in Illinois so not at any kind of elevation. I am trying to decide between it, the Champion, or getting a Honda 2200 with propane conversion for twice the price and less power, but more manageable size.

Go on to YouTube and watch Jared Gillis on “all about RVs “. He just did a blog in propane generators and specifically on the champion 3400 watt dual fuel inverter generator. Great review. Works great if you also put a soft start on your air Conditioning unit. Let me know what you think.

I am surprised any 3000 to 3500 watt generator will run a 15k AC unit. Inductive loads, especially ones with 40 amp plus start currents, are tough on those size generators.
