Refrigerator noise
First trip in imagine 2500 rl and refrig making humming or buzzing sound when it kicks on. Seems to be working ok but I don't think that should be normal

Our refrigerator makes an unusual noise as well. We have a Dometic DM2662 or DM2862. The sound is kind of a mild whining, (like it begrudges having to work). It doesn’t matter whether it’s running on gas or electric. Open the outside hatch and make sure your drain hose is not kinked or otherwise obstructed, and monitor the temp in both compartments. Noticed it when we first got the TT, but now I only seem to be aware of it when everything is really quiet. You can get a wireless thermometer with two probes-one for fridge, one for freezer for about $12 on Amazon. It can even be set to sound an alarm if the temp goes above your preset limits. Monitor has magnet and will attach to front of refrigerator.

I would say it is the small fan on the cooling fins running.

Thanks for the replys. Been traveling all day and hit rush hour in Fort Worth TX . Not fun
When I hear the noise I am on AC
Haven't tried gas yet
When we got to our camp ground I open both out side panels and noticed that there is a wood panel blocking air flow from the top compartment. Moved the panel slightly see if that will help Thanks again for the help.

There is supposed to be an angled panel at the top if the unit is installed in a slide and the back usually has a panel to keep hot air from moving straight out the back. The idea is to force the air to go all the way to the top and keep it away from the top of the unit.

Refrig not working well now. Temp upper 80 outside and temp in refrig 42. Ice not freezing in freezer. This scares me because we are moving to higher out side temperature tomorrow. Any suggestions?

I’d probably look at the installation manual online and see if the baffles are right. Also look at the fan on the coil and see if it is moving air.
Is this your first experience with an RV refrigerator? Set on max? Where is the thermistor on the fins?John & Kathy
