I never even saw biodiesel being sold until our trip out to Colorado and back. Once we got into corn country that was the only stuff I saw being sold.

My 04 F350 is not rated for the current 20% biodiesel blend. I find I have less power and fuel mileage. In winter the stuff jells faster too. Now this was a while back. Others probably have no issues, but I side on caution. I posted in another thread about a situation I had while traveling in the Texas panhandle. The Power Service additive I had helped get me through it.

But then I am and old fart.

    On a side note:
Back when they first came out with the gas/ethanol stuff I had an F250 with the 400 gas motor. Was driving across Kansas and filled up (price war was on and it was cheaper than regular). 50 miles later the truck died. The big inline metal can filter I had installed was full of rust. I got it cleared enough to get to the next town where I bought 3 more filters. Parts guy laughed an said business was booming. A lot of folks with the same issue coming west from states that did not have the ethanol blend. The ethanol was cleaning the tanks and lines. I ended up using all 3 filters before it cleared up. I had 3 tanks on that truck. Onin the cab. and two aux tanks totaling about 75 gallons. I had filled all 3. Lesson learned there but at least my tanks were clean

    Just my $0.02
