    CVRA decal

I received my license plate and registration for my 2019 3500HD. Ouch (that's another story). Anyway, I also received a CVRA decal that I'm supposed to place on my truck. Has anyone else received these stickers, and, have you placed them on your truck? My truck is not used to haul anything other than my golf clubs and 5th wheel.

CVRA is for Commercial vehicles,& the fee is based on the weight that is declared (15k, 20k etc). When I first registered mine, I signed an affidavit saying I would not use the truck commercially or for hire, & only for personal use...was a LITTLE cheaper this way.

I’m going down to the DMV on Monday and see if I can do something about it. Like you, I’m only going to use this truck for personal use.

It has been my sad experience to find that not all DMV clerks know the law. As large RV pullers we are a small percentage of what they process, as a result, we sometimes get lumped in the incorrect category. One clerk was trying to use GCVW (30,500) for the vehicle weight (9000), I asked to speak to a supervisor. I hate giving working people a hard time there was quite a bit of money involved. Florida.

Were you able to get the CVRA taken off. Just purchased a 2018 Ram 3500 to replace my 2500. Got my plates today along with CVRA stickers. Have looked but can't find any definitive information if you need it if the vehicle is just personal use. The plates arent typical for pickup, so i dont think you want to be driving around without the CVRA applied. Any new info appreciated.
