Gvwr on a 5th Wheel

I don't know for a fact but I believe the 374 is built off of the toy hauler frame.

I was talking to a GD rep on RV Show and conversation went something like this.
Me - The Cargo Capacity on the 375 is really low for all the storage it has why doesn't GD. put 8000-pound axles on this unit.

Rep - The limiting factor is the frame, not the axles. Lippard rates all their frames for a max GVWR and we match the axles to carry that load.

Me - Why doesn't GD use a higher rated frame.

I gave him my email address but he never got back with me and didn't follow up since I knew I was going to purchase one.

Grand Design makes a triple axle Solitude with a GVWR of 20k: 374TH. My neighbor has one. It looks identical to mine on the outside. Not sure if the frame is similar or altered.
