    Disconnecting City Water

When disconnecting the city water hose does it matter which end of the hose you disconnect first? ie. from the Nautilus Panel or the campground water source

I turn off the campground water, then walk to the trailer and relieve the water pressure. That way if I do unscrew the hose at the pass through, it stays dry.

That's a great question ! However, page 4 of the attached below link to the Nautilus panel states this on item #10 : (I would like to learn more about this if someone has answers.)

"10. Disconnect garden hose at source before disconnecting from Nautilus panel."

Here is the link to the pdf: https://www.granddesignrv.com/sites/...Rev%208-16.pdf

At first blush I thought no big deal either way trusting the pressure is released when faucet turned off. Yes, if the water source outlet is higher than the inlet on the connection on the Nautilus, water in the hose will run out even with the pressure released. Good to prevent this for the obvious reasons on getting things wet and wiping up.

You can also use the low point drain (ring in the bay next to the Nautilus panel) to relieve the pressure. Saves a trip around the trailer. I just open and close the cold water drain. Just take a second to relieve the pressure. No need to drain the system. Best to make sure the water heater is off (both gas and electric) before removing pressure (either way).

I turn off faucet, then turn the power tank fill knob on the nautilus panel to relieve pressure.
Saves a trip to trailer , or connecting outside hose to release pressure
    No mess

I think there is a caution in the nautilus manual about NOT turning the valves under pressure, you might want to check in to that.

I just read thru it quickly and it only states to "never push check valve on city water inlet while under pressure". I thought there was something similar in the " rotating valves under pressure" as well but it appears not. Well they say your memory is the second thing that goes.

I think turning the water panel knob under pressure was a problem with the Kantleak panel, not so much the Nautilus panel.
