    Battery Problem

Our solar equipped rig's in covered storage, checked the battery yesterday and the Trimetric reads 0%.
It was 100% on April 8th, 86% on April 26th.
That's a normal drop of .78%/day so it should have read 74% yesterday.
If we're not going on a trip, I recharge the batteries at 70-75%.
    Here's the Trimetric readings:
    Volts 12.4
    Amps -4.1
    % zero
    AH -1.02 (amp hours)
    DSC 34.1 (days since charged)
    DSE 1.68 (days since equalized)
    Pr -52.3 (power, watts)
    RPC zero (replaced power percentage)

When I hooked up the battery, lights & slides worked.
Seems to me I left something on that drained the battery, couldn't find anything, plus the % drop in April is normal.

I installed the system two years ago, never seen this happen before.

    Thoughts?

    Thx,
    John

Do you have a cut off switch to cut ALL the 12 volt power? Or just the one that comes stock in the trailer?

just the OEM switch, which as I understand it powers just the
    propane alarm.

The amperage reading looks like an inverter is powered up.

I have two disconnects in my system. The first one disconnects the batteries completely from the trailer. Everything. The second acts like the OEM's original shutoff switch.

When I have #1 on and #2 off (as if I'd disconnected the batteries using the OEM switch) the amperage draw is .7A (9W). I suspect the 4.1A (~51W) means something besides a normal trailer item is powered up in your trailer.

Thanks Howard, I'll check it again when I go back over there later this morning.
although why did the amp draw apparently zoom up while it was in storage and nobody was around?
Almost as if I accidentally turned on the inverter during my visit on April 26th...
As I understand it, I shouldn't kill everything because it would shut off power to the Trimetric system and I would lose the historical data.
I have 3 AGM batteries, does this mean they're kaput or can I charge them back up again?
If they can be recharged, should I do it right away?

Not an answer to your battery question, just was reading on this site yesterday.

At the rig, inverter was off.
Turned it on, amps read -2.8.
Turned it back off, amps read -.1
    Now I’m really puzzled.

That is odd. I don't have any other insights for you--sorry.

Do you have a sketch of your system (schematic)?

Yes, I’ll post it in a bit.
I’m thinking the meter is bad, put a call into manufacturer.
Measured 12.6v on each battery disconnected.
My battery guy says they’re good, just charge em back up, should be able to read 13.1v in a few hours of sunshine.
He said if voltages were significantly different then batteries would probably be dead.
He’s had many rv’ers with battery problems and doesn’t have much confidence in % readings.
