I must be doing something wrong, site says "I can't post" but I paid the membership fee and shows I'm a member, did I miss something here?

Your post showing and listing you as a paid sponsor.

I will start with, congratulations! Hope you get more enjoyment from this unit than the last.

I love my Grand Design, but will try to set expectations by saying GD build quality is about average for this price point RV. I am going into season 3 with mine and have had trips where I could not drain tanks (stuck drain valve), could not use water (leaking spray port), and could not use hot water (still working to figure that one out).

As you can see from my list above, plumbing system has been the challenge.

That said, big picture, no regrets in choosing a Grand Design. This is my third RV, and while not perfect, the overall experience has been positive.

Thanks for the encouraging words, so far everyone has been very helpful and I can't find anyone who is bad mouthing the Grand Design RV's, I passed on another loaded RV for the Imagine, and it had more features and was less money but... when I read the reports, nothing stood up like Grand Design, and that was the clincher for me, you get what you pay for, and if what everyone is saying is true, then the Imagine was the right choice. We're looking forward to seeing America at our pace, the rush of corporate life is behind me, now it's time to slow down and smell the roses, and see what we've been missing by flying high over the USA in airlines and rushing past the beauty of small towns and majestic sights you can only see up close, and not from 30.000 feet at 500 miles an hour. Hope my new RV is up to the task? Thanks for the input, it helped.

When off road, can the water heater run off the LP gas and the battery? I never tried it, so I don't know? Any advice on this? Thanks.

Many if not all RV manufactures have stopped installing tank less water heaters, why? I read they are unreliable and the warranty issues are too much, so whats the real deal on them, why did they come in and be the latest and greatest and then vanish? Anyone know?

Hi and welcome! We have an ‘18 2150 and a 6 gallon tank. Water is noticeably warm within a few minutes of turning it on (LP), and burn your fingers hot in about 10-15 minutes. We only turn it on when we want to use it, as leaving it on all day heats up the contents of the drawer above the tank in the bathroom. Besides, unless it’s in the 40s, the water stays useably warm all day, without the gas being on.
