You won't even know it is there, it looks like half of a plastic bucket on the roof.

Any chance of getting a little more info on this "new antenna" please?

Thank you Chris, that's a great pic! I did look in that cabinet and it's not there so it must be down in the well that the tv rises up from, will check it out tomorrow and report back. You guys are all super helpful, I really appreciate it! I am looking for it so I can turn it off when storing the camper and possibly make it last longer.

They've been using the Winegard Air 360 for a little while now.

Wow I have not seen that one before, mine has the one that looks like a boomerang, best way to describe it.

Yes, that is the King Controls JACK antenna. They switched sometime late Summer/ Fall last year to the new one.

Seems convenient, but a directional antenna has so much more gain I’d think it would still be better for those of spending time in the boonies.

The antenna on our momentum is fine for UHF but for VHF it sucks. So depending on your area that you are trying to get signal and what frequencies are used you will have varying results. You can check the tower locations and how they are transmitting on tvfool or antennaweb. Anything with a channel below 13 is VHF

If you want great TV in your RV, get a satellite portable dish and a receiver. I use a Winegard X2 (which will run two TVs on separate channels at the same time) and a Dish Wally receiver. I would recommend a portable dish because in many RV parks trees can block your view of the south sky and being able to move the dish to various locations improves your odds greatly of getting a signal. I have Dish at home so the channels are the same as I have at home wherever I go (except for local channels). Dish allows you to turn the RV receiver off when you are not on the road and you pay only $7 per month when you have it turned on (if you have a Dish account at home). Direct TV might do the same. I have found over the air to be very limited except in large cities, and the cable channels at most RV parks are mostly pitiful. IF you are boondocking you likely will have no TV unless you have a dish. When I went to Quartzsite, I had 250 channels out in the desert plus all of the Phoenix local channels.

One more app, which works best for me (using an iPhone): TV Towers USA. You can view a map or, if like me and have a bit of parallex, tap on "Compass" at the bottom to get your direction in a list that lines up with a compass point.

Agree on the TV fool site, it is the best I’ve seen. If you know where you will be headed, run the program and keep the results for each location. We use the King Jack and it is very directional, but if there is even a whisper of a signal, it pulls it in.
