Verzion Pre Pay Plan Being Retired.

looks like the 70 (65) dollar plan is going to be retired. I quote.

May 17 Update: We have confirmed direct with Verizon that the Prepaid Unlimited Data Plan for Jetpacks (pUDP) IS retiring on May 21st - and that existing customers will be grandfathered in.

I got in back in November of 2018 and I'm as happy as a clam with the service. I hope it is one of those things that last as long as you want it to or need it.

Yikes! Even though I'm battling having reliable service with my prepaid plan, I want to keep this service. My big fear is that once a company decides to end a service, they also ultimately stop offering support as well. I foresee them saying they wont support a customer and try to force them to change to another plan.

Agree with xrated. We just got it mid April, and very very happy. Yeah, they'll probably grandfather for quite awhile and eventually try to get people to move to something else. But not worried, it will be until they force something.

I just got off the phone with prepaid customer service. My unit has been plagued by the dropping wi-fi issue. Been a problem since I got it in mid February. But that's for a different time and place. The service rep hadn't heard about the retiring of the plan but checked with someone and confirmed it was being retired. She used the term that I will be grandfathered in and can keep my plan. No change to price and I can keep it as long as I'd like. The new $70/month plan is a 30 gb per month plan. Hoping to keep my plan WITH customer support for a long time.
