    Roof Repair

I noticed I put a small cut about 1/2 inch in my roof when up there installing vent covers. I need to repair it to ensure no future problems.

    2 questions:

-I see Dicor recommended in self leveling or non self leveling, does it matter? Is it better to use tape?

-Also someone in another thread recommended no to use Docor on TPO roofs. How do I know if I have a TPO roof? I have a 2019 303.

All 2016 and later units have TPO. For cuts or rips, I prefer Eternabond Tape for repairs. For punctures or small holes, I prefer sealant. If it's on flat surface, use self-leveling. If it's on a vertical surface, use non self leveling.

Thanks, would you recommend Dicor or another product?

Have used Eternabond Tape and it works great, if the rip is 1/2" I would buy the 4" inch and clean the area good then apply the tape. Sometimes I apply Dicor Lap Sealant

+1 on Eternabond. After the cleaning and application, get a good roller to push it down to ensure it adheres properly. I keep a small handheld roller with me, maybe 4" wide, that works great for rolling it after you put it on.

This is the sealant made by the same manufacturer as the roofing material, Alpha. Of course, they recommend its use. I've used it with no issues.
