We decided we weren't going to be held hostage by our grey tank capacity at campgrounds that only have a central dump station. Towing a transfer tank around with the truck just didn't seem like a low stress solution. So, we purchased a pump that fastens directly to the drain and pumps the grey water into the tank that lives behind the hitch in the truck bed. Pumping the grey tanks into the transfer tank takes a couple of minutes and dumping the transfer tank is even faster because of the height difference between truck and drain. A simple solution.

Looking left to right, my #2 gray valve is suspiciously easy to pull in and out, thinking it may be the culprit.
Buddy of mine suggested I put different food coloring in each tank to see if I can identify which one is the culprit.
    Any ideas?

    Thx

I could be wrong but i was thinking in my case since the trailer was tilting that when i closed the valves and put the end cap on i trapped the water that was still in the pipe. once i got to level ground and popped the end cap off the left over water came out. Perhaps this was your same issue?

Thank you Brent for the pictures. That was awesome. It looks like to me the best position would be level left to right and maybe the front of the trailer up higher. Unfortunately thats not how my clean out is positioned at my house...

    Thank you all!

Brent - thanks for the fresh water tank pic. I'm mainly interested in the under support for it since mine sags too much when full, plus I'm interested in stopping the siphon effect when filling the tank. Don't want to hijack this thread, but wanted to thank you for the pic.

Dang, Rob! Brilliant solution (as usual). Of course I got here from the link you put in the thread I started today about storing my tote.

While this is an ingenious, the Goldwing has priority in my truck bed.

Would there be room beside the Goldwing in the truck bed? The tote could sit on it's side when empty.

Possibly. But every time the bike comes down (or up) into the bed everything must be off the ramp. I think the video below will show why!

Note this video was taken when I still had my previous F-250 short bed. We were checking for clearance coming down.
