Air vent leaking when raining 2019 315rlts

I have a 2019 Grand design reflection 315rlts, the other day the vent by the sunlight in the kitchen started leaking when it rained. Got on the roof and the sealant seems to be good, maybe not though. I took off the piece inside and none of the wood is wet inside. Just water on the piece I took off. The piece I took off is cracked almost all the way through on both sides somehow. Is this why it's leaking? Posting pics to show everyone and thank you if you haveClick image for larger version.

The trim you show is just a decretive piece. It does nothing for seating to the outside. There is a gasket ( probably some type of butyl)
between the fan and the roof and the edges are sealed with self leveling lap sealant.
A 2019 model if it hasn’t been checked it’s due for an inspection. Doesn’t take much to leak, just a pinhole in the lap sealant.

I would scraping the old sealant off, checking to make sure the vent is tight and reseal it with new self leveling lap sealant.

    This is what I use.

    Good Luck,

Thank you so much, going to try that tomorrow and see if that's the case. Hopefully it is. I'll report back and let you know if it worked.
