    F450 + 2021 397 total length

Does anyone know the total length of a 2021 397th hitched to a 2023 F450?

That's going to vary by truck configuration and hitch choices. Since it looks like you already have the F450 and the pin of a fifth wheel is pretty near the front cap, you can come close by measuring from the front bumper of your truck to the center of the rear axle and adding the total length of the trailer.

That is a great suggestion thanks, but my truck is in storage. Also, the published rv length specs are typically short as I believe they are from the pin (?) to the rear. I am hoping someone with this combination can chime in.

You'll be close to 62'. Don't have the same rig but I'll be within a foot.

Thanks everyone. Assuming I do get my 397 in April, I needed to call the ferry service to Newfoundland to make sure they could accommodate the additional feet vs my TT. So I told them 64 feet to be sure.

Does the ferry accommodate tractor-trailers? The average length of a tractor-trailer combo is 72 feet.

It does. The issue is the space available. It is very difficult to get this 16 hour crossing and every inch is accounted for. So if you booked 57 feet and show up with 64, you may not get on.

I know that my published length is 7" shorter than actual when I measure from the pin to the rear ladder. I don't have a Ford but my long bed 4 door Ram is a little less than 17' from front bumper to middle of rear axle. It looks like the 64' that you gave the ferry should cover you on overall length.
