    Build time

So we ordered a new 370DV the end of January and our dealer told us it would come off the production line around the end of March then go to get full body paint, after that it would be shipped.

Two questions about the build process:

    1) How long does it take from step one until it comes of the line? How long is the actual manufacturing process?

    2) We are having the independent suspension installed from the factory, do they do that on the line or is it sent over to MORyde after its built to have it changed?

    Thanks!!

@huntr70 can probably answer your questions more accurately. From our visit to the factory several years ago, the actual build process takes a few days (less than a week). As far as I know, the IS is still installed at the MORryde facility in town - but things may have changed since we had ours done.

Thanks! I was just thinking it was a waste to build it with the standard suspension only to have MORyde cut them all off a week later.....

I agree - it is. The frames are built by Lippert at one of their facilities and delivered to the GD factory with suspension in place.

From what I was told, GD orders the frame from Lippert when a retail order is taken, and they go directly to MorRyde for the independent install before ever going to the GD plant.

The actual time is a matter of days. The scheduling and waiting for paint is the slow part.

If it is schedule to be offline end of March, the dealer should have it by the end of April.

Is the date on the build sheet the date it rolls out the door (after weighing) or just an arbitrary date the build sheet is printed?

It is the date the unit is weighed as it comes out of production.

Well, received and update from the dealer this weekend and our unit should be rolling of the line the end of this week and should be at the dealership mid April. We were planning on early to mid May so this is a good surprise!
