Kodiak disc brake pad replacements

Anyone successfully go to an auto parts store to get a GM replacement? I have an outer pad on the front axle (door side) wearing faster. Heading out in a week so no time for Kodiak to get here. I am probably fine, but, would like a feasible option.

I think it must be binding....will clean up an grease the moving sleeve.

Seems to me that I read you to use ACDelco replacement pads.

I went online and ordered 1990 Skylark front brake pads from O'Reillys. Kind of suck that the sales pitch is go into any auto store and pick up pads. No one had those pads. So shipping to my close store.

Any wisdom on greasing the pins and or ears of pads? How about any treatment of the piston?
