Moryde X-Factor cross braces on tri- axle ?
I'm thinking about adding the cross braces to the spring hangers on our 397TH. Our other 5er had braces welded on from the factory & we never had any suspension problems but it was only a 14500 GVWR my question is on how many do I really need. The disc brake company I've been talking to & another GD forum are in the only one needed group but etrailer says all four hangers. Also it has the v-braces in the hangers from factory'
To me all hangers with a cross brace makes sense but I'm thrifty if I can be. I've even thought about just welding angle between the hangers as our Jayco had. What have y'all done on your heavy triple axle trailers ?Last edited by poohbear; 03-29-2024 at 09:23 AM.

Why reinforce just one and leave the others to break?

As I said installing 4 made more sense to me. There is a belief out there that only one set of hangers gets the side to side and the back hanger gets the fromt to back movement . I think depending on the type pavement or ground your are on puts more or less strain on hangers.

While I only installed one this is what MoRyde told me when I asked in what order should they be installed.
If only adding one it needs to be at the equalizer (tandem is one X-factor, Triple would be two of them, one at each equalizer). The next one would be at the rear spring hanger. Last would be the front hanger.Bob (retired) & Vicki

“To me all hangers with a cross brace makes sense but I'm thrifty if I can be.“
Since you mentioned being thrifty, I would recommend at the very least install cross braces to the equalizer spring hangers. Those tri-axel configurations take a tremendous amount of lateral pressure especially while turning.2017 F-250 6.7 2019 273 MK

For those that have installed “X Factor” on their tri-axles, did they notice any perceptible changes in ride and would you recommend adding them knowing what you know now? I have a 397TH also, and am considering adding them to all 4 points on my tri-axle since I need to do new suspension bushings after my next pull home (tomorrow). So while I have the suspension down/apart, makes the most sense to add X-factor if I was gonna do it. I certainly don’t want to pull this apart more than necessary.
Thanks in advance.2023 Momentum 397TH w/Gen3 Goosebox

I just added 3, so I can't comment on the ride. My decision point was the roads we plan on traversing. We've done many forest roads and are heading to Alaska! It the future was all pavement I would have done 1 or less.
